A Pivot Lesson about a Bird and a Window
It sometimes amazes me how often little things in life remind me of critical life lessons. Well today is no exception. While sitting in the lobby of my wife's office building, I witnessed a dove flying right into a building window and dying instantly. Yes, that is sad. But I thought...there must be a lesson for me in that. So in this episode, I want to share the lesson that was given to me once again...this time by a dove. So grab a beverage, have a seat at my table and let's chat on the Pivot to Prosper Podcast.

How do I become more motivated?
Have you ever said, "I need to do this thing but I just don't feel motived?" Yeah, me too. But I suggest that motivation is not driven by feelings. Sure, it is impacted by them at times, but feelings are not the catalyst for becoming more motivated. I suggest that motivation comes through purpose, and purpose comes through asking the deeper "why?". So, grab your favorite beverage and give a listen to this week's episode of the "Pivot to Prosper" Podcast.

You will hear an honest talk filled with laughter, past hurts, but now...joyful celebration of life and connection with God. Hear these words from Ellen:My own journey through life's hardship has been the catalyst for the work that I'm currently doing. For years I experienced…

The Time To Stand up for What You Believe
There comes a moment in time when all of us have to take a stand about our convictions. I will also say…that's not always easy. Such is the case for me. I was raised, trained, and educated in Evangelical churches and graduate schools. I worked in Christian schools and found myself under the authority of those who solidly held to conservative Evangelical beliefs around the LGBT+ issue. But for me, the teaching didn't align with my spirit or me as a person. How could, or would, a mighty God create people as queer and then make them deny who they truly are? I couldn't get my head and heart around…

How to Thrive after Divorce: The 6 Steps to get there
After my first marriage of 25 years ended, I documented my healing and recovery, ultimately writing a book to teach what I did to do that. I subsequently retired the book because I plan to rewrite it, update it, and release it in 2022. But until then, I wanted to serve you by getting into your mind and heart the basic foundation to this process. So, in this podcast I take you through an overview of what those 6 steps are in my Thrive Method. I tell you in the podcast and in this description that they are not always easy. In fact, this is one of the leading types of…
